Recipe: Savory Rigatoni alla Bolognese

  • 8 oz rigatoni from Sarakku
  • 1 jar Bolognese sauce from Sarakku
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 carrots, finely chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese



  1. Cook the rigatoni from our store in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, cook the ground beef and ground pork over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion, carrots, celery, and minced garlic to the saucepan. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine (if using). Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the whole milk and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  6. Serve the Bolognese sauce from our store over the cooked rigatoni. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
