  • 1 lb (450g) beef, chicken, or tofu, sliced
  • 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup Massaman Curry Sauce from Sarakku
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • 1 tablespoon palm sugar or brown sugar
  • Roasted peanuts and fresh cilantro for garnish



  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened.
  2. Add the beef, chicken, or tofu to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in the Massaman Curry Sauce and cook for a minute to coat the meat/tofu.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the potatoes, carrot, and red bell pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine.
  6. Cover the pan and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  7. Stir in the fish sauce, tamarind paste, and palm sugar. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  8. Garnish with roasted peanuts and fresh cilantro before serving the Massaman Curry over steamed jasmine rice.
